How it works
They talk. The app helps with the rest.
From the first question to a finished book, shown here on sample screens.
Step 1
A question to answer out loud
They pick a prompt, press record and start talking. Their iPhone turns the speech into text. Anyone who prefers typing can write instead.

Chapter two
Sunday pancakes
Every Sunday my mother made pancakes. I stood beside her on a kitchen chair, and my job was to say when the butter stopped hissing.
She never measured anything. When I asked how much flour, she said, "Enough." I still cook that way, and it drives your father mad.
Told by Margaret

The first one always went to whoever was hungriest. It was never me, because I had been eating the sugar.
